Yamcha Media » Donations

Have something you'd like to share with us? Great! We'll gladly accept donations of any sort of media, be it scans of the manga or doujinshi, icons, desktop graphics (wallpapers, desktop icons, screensavers, WinAmp skins, etc), AMVs, pixel art, fanart, fanfiction - if you can think of it, we'll probably take it! If we don't have the category of stuff you're looking to donate, we can make it. The only rule is that it has to center around Yamcha.

Submission rule of thumb: if you're submitting more than one (several wallpapers, 2 sets of desktop icons, a batch of LJ icons, whatever), send them as a .zip or .rar file. It makes things easier for us.

All submissions should be sent to Nori (replace at & dot with their respective counterparts) with the subject "Kung Pao! Donation" and the following information:

Your Name - so we know how to credit you.
Your Email Address - so we can contact you if something changes.
Your URL - This would be your website, livejournal, deviantart account, or wherever you'd like to be credited.
Description of files - "I'm sending 3 wallpapers, a doujinshi, a WinAmp skin, and a Windows screensaver"
Your files - If they're small enough, go ahead and attach the files to the email, otherwise please upload the files to a free uploading site such as megaupload or mediafire and put the links here.

Desktop Graphics

The following things fall under the Desktop Graphics category.

  1. Desktop Wallpapers
  2. Screensavers
  3. Desktop Icons
  4. WinAmp (or other program) skins
  5. Desktop Buddies

Guidelines for submitting Desktop graphics are as follows:

  1. Wallpapers should be a minimum resolution of 1024x768. We can size down easily enough, but sizing up and still having it look good is a lot harder ^_~
  2. WinAmp (or other) skins should be compressed as .wsz or .zip files.
  3. Screensavers should be compressed in a .zip or .rar file. Please make sure to note what operating system your screensaver was created for (Windows, Mac OS, etc).
  4. Desktop icons should be submitted in a .zip or .rar file, along with some sort of installation instructions/artist credits.
  5. Desktop buddies should be submitted in a .zip or .rar file, along with some sort of installation instructions/artist credits.

Online Graphics

The following things fall under the Online Graphics category.

  1. Livejournal/similar site icons/avatars
  2. Friends-Only banners
  3. Website or Livejournal layouts
  4. Adoptables (sprites, etc)

Guidelines for submitting online graphics are as follows:

  1. Livejournal icons/avatars should conform to LJ standards (40kb or under, in .gif, .jpg, or .png format) and be submitted in a .zip or .rar file.
  2. Friends-Only banners should be submitted as .gif, .jpg, or .png files. More than one should be submitted in a .zip or .rar file.
  3. Website or Livejournal layouts should include all images and html files, as well as any installation instructions/credits as needed, and submitted in a .zip or .rar file.
  4. Adoptables/sprites - go wild. All I ask is that more than one be submitted in a .zip or .rar file.

Scans and Screencaps

If it's not a fan-created image, it goes here.

  1. Scans (manga, doujinshi, merchandise, etc) are preferably scanned at 300dpi and LEFT UNRESIZED. You may clean/level images as needed. Manga/doujinshi scans (or any scans that are not in colour) should be scanned in greyscale. Images less than 800 pixels tall (or wide) probably will not be put in the gallery. When submitting, please also included the source of your scans (Dragonball Volume 2 chapter 14, some magazine, some doujinshi by some artist, etc)
  2. Screencaps will only be accepted from the Japanese raw or English dubbed DVDs (no subtitles). When submitting screencaps, please be sure to include which series they're from, as well as the episode number, e.g. "Dragonball Z Episode 14".

Fanworks

Fanworks would be anything that wasn't created by an official source. Fanworks include:

  1. Fanart
  2. Fanfiction
  3. AMV's (Anime Music Videos)
  4. FST's (Fan Soundtracks)
  5. Translations (of doujinshi)

NOTICE/DISCLAIMER: By submitting fanworks, you agree to allow Kung Pao! to display them on the site, and edit your works as necessary (changing file formats, adding a watermark with your name on it, correcting typos, etc). If at any time you wish to have your work removed from the site, please feel free to email us and we will comply ASAP.

The guidelines for submitting fanworks is as follows:

  1. Fanart should be in .png, .jpg, or .gif format. Fanart may be in any medium (traditional, digital, mixed, etc) and of any type (pinup, comic, etc) so long as it can be shown in a digital way (wanna give us a picture of your awesome Yamcha tattoo?). Fanart may be of any rating and pairing - gen, het, or yaoi (...or yuri if you want to give us some genderbender).
  2. Fanfiction should be complete (or reasonably so) and beta-read with good grammar and spelling. Fanfiction submissions would preferably simply be links to somewhere you've posted it previously (FF.Net, livejournal, etc) so people can send you feedback. If for some reason you do not have a place to post your works, or do not want Kung Pao! to link to them, feel free to talk to Nori about having your work posted on the site. Fanfiction MUST be in English!
  3. AMV's obviously must be Yamcha-centric. Please upload your AMV in its original format (.wmv, .avi, or whatever) to a free file host like Megaupload or Mediafire and send the link. Do not send me Youtube or other streaming site links.
  4. FSTs should be uploaded to a free file host and the link should be sent to me. FSTs must be in a .zip or .rar archive with all pertinant information (creator, tracklist, covers, etc.) included.
  5. Translations would preferably be from something already on the site, unless you are including scans to go with it (for instance, translating and scanning a doujinshi). We will accept translations into languages other than English, but if, and only if, an English translation is already on the site, or you will be translating it into English as well.
